Two Jorgensen Plaza venues expand and refresh during pandemic, now open to the public
We’re celebrating that Gilmore’s Pub re-opened April 26 and that The Market will re-open later this month! A public open house is set for Wednesday, May 26, 2021, 2:30 – 3:30, with ribbon-cutting at 3 p.m. Though carry-out service has been ongoing for both locations, in-person services were discontinued because of the pandemic. “This presented an opportunity to use what we’ve learned about guests’ preferences to re-shape the restaurant and retail space and provide more product, services and entertainment in Jorgensen Plaza, said Amy Dall, director of hospitality at Jorgensen Plaza.
The pub capacity has increased to 120 (when pandemic distancing is lifted). “Gilmore’s Pub guests keep coming back for a great menu that includes locally-sourced food, favorites from the Table 1912 menu, anytime brunch, Gilmore’s popular burgers, sandwiches and pasta entrées,” said Meena Reisetter, Jorgensen plaza dining manager.
Meena is a certified sommelier and is prepared for the return of social gatherings that include a full menu of beverages. “We have the advantage of serving exceptional beer and wines by the glass, hosting tasting events, and working with hosts to provide beverage choices that will make their events in the restaurants and Diamond Event Center memorable. Many of the wines served in Gilmore’s Pub and at private events will be available for sale at The Market.
Tripling the footprint of The Market makes room for a larger deli selection, more grocery items and in-market seating. Eric Cornish, retail manager at Jorgensen Plaza, is also excited about the open floor plan and two additional, larger entrances that will welcome visitors in Jorgensen Plaza and make all inventory more accessible.
Table 1912 was not altered and continues to serve as the evening meal dining room for Prairie Wind residents. It is available for private events for 15-50 before 3 p.m. and after 7 p.m.
